Kevin Flanagan

In the Bay Area, opponents of outsourcing are calling attention to one personal tragedy that has been blamed on offshoring: Kevin Flanagan, of Pleasant Hill, reportedly shot himself in April in the parking lot outside Bank of America’s Concord office, where he had just received his termination notice. In an interview with the Contra Costa Times, Flanagan’s father, Tom Flanagan, said his son’s job loss and death were the result of the bank’s sending work offshore.
